Kid’s stuff?

Over the years I have tried so many art forms and crafts and learnt new digital skills.
But, I ALWAYS come full circle to my absolute joy – cutting and sticking!
This can be assemblage on a larger scale with wood or cardboard or collaging with paper in a mini notebook.
Either way, call it what you will, it is cutting and sticking!
I think there is a bit of snobbery with this very simple pleasure. Yes, kids do it all the time and it is a staple in nurseries and kindergartens but perhaps, there is a good reason for that!

It is fun!

It is cheap!

It is easy!

It is inclusive!

It is liberating!

It is relaxing!

But, let’s not forget that even ‘proper’ artists use(d) collage and assemblage to create.
