Hello, I’m Helen, a mixed media artist, crafter and maker.

As a carpenter’s daughter, making is in my DNA and I am driven by a love of materials. Enjoying the variety and sensory quality of both the traditional and unconventional, I like to allow my work to evolve organically from my chosen or found materials.
I have a ‘mid-life’ degree in Fine Art, a life long love of making, and professional background in healthcare and education.
 
Apart from creating art and crafting…
I love walking with my sketchbook and camera – rural and urban
I enjoy the wonders of nature
An empty beach is a happy place
I like to run
I love white chocolate
The Tour de France has been a summer highlight for 35 years!
And fire engines always make me smile!
 
Currently I live in rural Cambridgeshire, UK.
